A little about me ... My name is Tabitha Frohardt-Johnson and I am a mother to three hilarious kids, a wife to an amazing man and a photographer. I specialize in candid natural light photography and I shoot exclusively on location {with the exception of newborns}. I love to capture what makes each person beautiful. It could be their big blue eyes, a big toothless smile, freckles or a toddler's pout. These traits are what make you "Beautifully You" and I love to capture these little details in my portraits.

Contest for a FREE Mini Session!

To help pass the time while I am away from the office getting settled into our new home I wanted to run a contest for a FREE Mini Session!  It’s really easy to enter …. Become a Fan of TFJ Photography on Facebook and you are entered into the contest.  Simple!

So here are the details:

  • Once I have 250 Facebook Fans I will enter all the fans into the drawing for the FREE Mini Session (to be held in March 2010). 
  • If by chance a non-Texas/DFW resident wins they have the choice to either come to TX or gift the session to a family/friend that is local to DFW!  So please be sure tell your friends to join too!

Must Have Monday … The Kelly Moore Bag!

For those of you who know me well you know that I LOVE to shop!  Love might be an understatement actually.  I adore window shopping, surfing the web, flipping slowly through the latest catalogs and even reading blogs by other die hard shoppers.  Like I try to tell my husband … I just want to know what’s out there … granted I would totally save money if I didn’t know.  So, to make all my surfing and wandering the mall seem more useful I’m going to start sharing my finds here on Mondays.  Hopefully every Monday, but don’t hold your breath. HAHA!

My first find really touches my heart because it’s a bag (yep another one of my obsessions bags/purses), but better yet … it’s a camera bag!  Let me just tell you how HARD it is to find a comfortable and stylish camera bag … nearly impossible!  All the bags are made for men and expeditions for some reason.  So finally here is an awesome bag that is perfect for my style of shooting and it looks like a bag I would normally carry.

Mini Session Sneak Peaks … {Family Photographer Frisco, Tx}

December 15, 2009 – 10:48 pm

Unfortunately, the original mini session day was rescheduled due to the super chilly weather and a strong breeze that made it even chiller.  It all worked out though … this past Sunday was a really pretty day and it was just a little chilly.  I was holding out hope that it would be 68 degrees like the forecast called for, but that didn’t happen.  We live in Texas after all and you just never know what you are going to get!

I met two new families ….  First up was Kristi & Marcus. 

They are engaged and planning their wedding for this May!  I can’t wait till the Spring to do Kristi’s bridal portraits {I think she looks like a country singer in the image below!} and their official engagement session.

It was a pleasure to meet you both!  Ya’ll were SUPER kind!

Next up was the “S” Family … They had two pretty rambunctious boys! 

The youngest one, Conner, had me laughing at all the faces he made.

The oldest, Christian, was the serious one but he really enjoyed the jumping poses! 

It was a pleasure to meet you all!  Thank You for coming out despite the rescheduling!

Welcome Sweet Little Haylie …. {Newborn Photographer N. Dallas}

December 7, 2009 – 7:13 pm

Finally … here is an extra long sneak peak at the session with little Haylie when she was just 10 days old!  Her sweet Momma was worried about how the session would go since Haylie does not like to be naked … but I had a trick up my sleeve and it worked like a charm.  Haylie was super sweet and poseable as long as she was warm!

This is a new vintage style B&W I have been playing with.  I think I like it …

This pose was a first for me and I think it turned out so sweet!

Sweet Little Sophia Grace

What a delight it was to see little Sophia Grace for her 4 month session!  You might remember her newborn session from this past summer.  She was such a delight to photograph then and now.  Although she didn’t like all the poses I had in mind … LOL!  She was pretty content to sit (okay be propped up) in the basket.

But this belly shot … we had to be fast!  I got two shots before she started to get mad.

I have plenty of shots with other headbands too.  Her Momma is a bow-a-holic!  Maybe that’s why I like her so much.  The super cute felt flower is one of my new props that I just love!! I found it HERE on Etsy.

Family Session: The “T” Family {DFW Family Photographer}

November 22, 2009 – 10:49 pm

I had the pleasure of meeting the “T” family a week ago for a family session.  We wrapped up the session just minutes before the huge storm hit and just barely missed being soaked .  My husband even called to warn us and say that the storm was heading our way. :)

It was a short and sweet session with little Georgia.  She was actually the one who called the session over … hahaha … it happens with kids. She was such a cutie …. oh how I wished she wanted to pose for me!  Here’s just a short sneak peak since I am SO crazy editing sessions …

Here she is in my new B&W conversion … I am really loving the vintage feel!  Below it’s in color so you can see her super sweet eyes.

The image below gives you a good idea of how the session went! LOL!  She was full of spunk.
