There’s a fun weekly contest over at I Heart Faces and I decided to enter this week with the image below. It’s not your typical portrait with a smile and a perfectly posed little one, but this portrait makes me laugh and smile every time I look at it and that’s what a great image should do! So, wish me luck …
I had this great idea last week to bribe (nope I’m not above bribery!) Brooke with a sucker to get her to sit and let me not only take her picture but also to let me put anything I could get in her hair or on her head! (She only wants to wear bunny ears these days.) So, I got the biggest sucker I had and dressed her up all cute … totally thinking that I had out smarted her this time! Well, things started off good …
but quickly ended up like this!
and NO … I promise she is NOT the love child of Gary Busey!!

We are SO happy to share that our little man has arrived! He was born eight days early on Thursday May 6th weighing 8lbs 11oz and measuring 21 inches. What a sweet baby boy he is too! He has a very laid back personality and is also a good sleeper so far. Although he seems to have his Daddy’s appetite and has gained just under 1lb within his first 14 days! Which is super impressive considering he lost half a pound after birth!

I was SO excited to find this awesome wagon at McKinney Trade Days a couple of months ago and even more excited that it was a steal! The “Glee” Hat is by Angel!

MATERNITY LEAVE:
Just a reminder that I am on maternity leave until late this summer/early fall while we welcome our newest addition to our family. I can’t wait for him to arrive and to share images of him and some fun new props that I have been collecting! I hope you all have a wonderful summer. I look forward to seeing you this fall for family sessions!
It must be Spring …. the Bluebonnets arrived!
My littlest sweet pea is not the biggest fan of nature! HAHA! To be honest until this past weekend she would hardly put a toe into the grass. The image above and below really show how much she loved being sat in some random field!!
Notice the toes sticking up from the flowers … She was trying to not touch the grass!! I love it!
Eye contact from 2 out of 3 isn’t bad! Can’t you tell they were all SO excited to be there.

Two weeks ago Brooke & I had a play date with Nicole and her little cutie pies and since we were together I did a little mini session to celebrate Ian being 2.
I just loved his vintage style tricycle and so did Brooke. I guess I know what she needs.
Wow, it’s hard getting this guy in one place! His poor Mommy has her work cut out for her keeping up with him. He’s all boy!
Sweet little Isabella brought me flowers too! I just love this age.
I was (am) super honored to help celebrate Chris & Kim’s wedding this past March on St. Patty’s Day! They are such a FUN couple and I love that went the road less traveled by having an intimate ceremony in the middle of the week. Everything was very non-traditional … except their declaration of love for one another! I almost cried listening to them say their vows … and that’s not just because of my pregnancy hormones.

They read their vows from their iPhones and even made my day by bringing along fun props!

I’ve had lots of emails about my availability for Spring sessions and I apologize to everyone that I have been slow to reply. It’s been a tough decision between working or not before Baby Boy Johnson arrives this summer. This pregnancy has been a bit more difficult than the last so I have been trying to take it easy to make sure that I am up to working. Finally, I think I am … as long as no one teases me about waddling! Besides, I miss being behind the camera and I am missing all my new friends!
So, I’m going to be offering Mini Sessions and TWO regular sessions the last weekend of March. The following times are available:
Saturday March 27th – Downtown McKinney {Great Urban Location}
2:30pm – Mini Session Available
3pm – Mini Session Available
3:30pm – Mini Session Available.
4pm – Mini Session Available.
4:30pm – Regular Session Available

Sunday March 28th – Addison Park Location {Beautiful grassy area with stream and bridge}
2:30pm – Mini Session Available
3pm – Mini Session Available

Session Pricing:
Mini Session Fee: $150 per Family up to 4
- 20 minute photo session
- 15 minutes of my time in my digital darkroom to edit the proofs.
- 2 to 6 (or more) Handcrafted proofs of your session for your consideration presented in a private online gallery.
- CD for printing the images as 8×10 or smaller.
Regular Session Fee: $125 per Family up to 4
- No Prints are included with this session package.
- Up to a 90 minute photo session for up to four.
- Unlimited digital pictures taken during your session to ensure that the perfect moment is captured.
- 2-3 hours of my time in my digital darkroom to edit the proofs.
- 10-25 Handcrafted proofs of your session for your consideration presented in a private online gallery for 30 days ($25 fee for additional time).
- $25 for each additional person over four.
